Abstract [eng] |
The growing industry‘s and society‘s interest in virtual reality and its increasing availability are driving the demand for virtual reality content and its creation methods is growing. Content production costs, its interactivity, immersiveness differ for available content creation and visualization methods. The focus in this project is dynamic virtual reality content, a new method for creating such content is suggested. A review of virtual reality devices and content creation methods are presented in this paper. Additionally, factors that cause cybersickness in virtual reality, which influence usability of its content, are examined. Concidering the results of the analysis, a new method for creating detailed virtual reality content that allows movement between set points of view in the scene is presented. In each point of view a corresponding stereoscopic video is played. Movement between these points plays a transition video for the viewer. The optimal number of video players are used in this method to ensure the stability and consistency of video content playback, while having minimal effects on the performance of the program. The presented method and other methods, for displaying three-dimensional content, are implemented in a program. The created program is used to perform experiments to evaluate and compare the usability, caused feeling of presence, cybersickness symptoms and influence on virtual reality device efficiency of the different methods. After the experiments, results and conclusions of the study are presented. |
