Abstract [eng] |
Understanding institutional factors has grown a major emphasis in the past decades. As an important element in the economy of the country, they must be linked to the small and medium enterprises as they are the propulsion of the economy. The institutional factors, in the form of institutional voids and institutional support, shape the economy of the country as well as frame the activities of exporting manufacturing SMEs, hence their well performance is of crucial importance. However, the SMEs are challenged by the institutional factors imposed on them and thus fail in the long term. The concept of institutional factors is widely discussed in the literature as a crucial factor in the overall well-being of companies and their results. The outcomes of the previous studies confirm that companies portray a set of responses towards the institutional factors that are being imposed on them, however most of the investigations do examine the responses of small and medium enterprises, especially exporting manufacturing SMEs. Therefore, there is a growing need to analyze the responses to institutional factors of exporting manufacturing SMEs, as these companies in Lithuania are the impetus of the economy. |
