Summary Scientific research shows that young people are not only more likely to face problems of integration into the labor market than adults with work experience, but also often found in precarious employment. Ensuring decent work among early career workers would help prevent manifestations of modern-day slavery. Decent work is understood as the improvement of working conditions and the prevention of exploitation and inequality. In addition, based on the Psychology of Working Theory, it can be argued that decent work determines the satisfaction of basic human needs. The aim of the research is to check whether the expression of decent work is positively related to the employee 's job satisfaction and negatively related to the turnover intentions, and whether job satisfaction is negatively related to the turnover intentions. Scientific problem. What are the links between decent work, job satisfaction, and turnover intentions among early career workers? The object of the research is the relationship between decent work, job satisfaction and turnover intentions. The aim of the study was to investigate the links between decent work, job satisfaction and turnover intentions among early career workers. Research tasks: 1. to reveal the issue of decent work among early career workers; 2. to justify the theoretical solutions of decent work, job satisfaction and turnover intentions; 3. substantiate the methodology and tools for the study of the links between decent work, job satisfaction and intention to leave work; 4. to determine the links between decent work, job satisfaction and turnover intentions among early career workers based on empirical research; 5. to provide recommendations to human resource management professionals on how to improve the expression of decent work among early career workers, which is related to employee satisfaction and intention to leave. At the beginning of the research, an analysis of the scientific literature was performed. Based on the study a theoretical model was developed. The analysis of statistical quantitative data, which was performed using SPSS and Microsoft Excel, was chosen for the empirical research. An online survey was used for the collection of the survey data, in which 18–33-year-olds, employed in Lithuania participated. The results of the empirical study confirmed the hypotheses raised. A positive relationship was found between decent work and job satisfaction, a negative relationship was found between decent work and turnover intentions and a negative relationship was found between job satisfaction and turnover intentions. |
