| Abstract [eng] |
The container terminal train load minimization problem is considered in this thesis. The combinatorial complexity of the problem prevents the use of the Brute-Force search to obtain the exact solution, thus several approximation algorithms are considered. Problems of low dimension, comprised of a short container list, are solved using Brute-Force search, while the solutions to more complex problems are approximated using Monte Carlo or genetic algorithms. Analysis of the influence of the approximation method parameters on the quality of the solution is performed. All algorithms are implemented using MATLAB. |
