Abstract [eng] The parameters of biofuel cogeneration power plant are examined in this paper. The advantages and disadvantages of biofuel cogeneration power plants encountered during the process of construction, installation and exploitation are being analyzed. Siauliai biofuel power plant was chosen for the analysis. Heat and electric energy production technology of biofuel power plant and exploitation peculiarities are analyzed in this paper. The calculations of fuel with different moisture content were made. The possibility of equipping the interim biofuel storage was evaluated due to the assurance of constant fuel quality indicators. The exploitation processes of the power plant were evaluated using practical data. The main disadvantages of exploitation were analysed and the possibilities of development of power plant using heat storage tank and heat pump technology were evaluated. The economic development indicators of power plant were calculated. The analysis was made following the Law on Energy Resources Market of the Republic of Lithuania, rules on boiler rooms and construction installation, guidelines and recommendations. The results of the analysis are presented in conclusions.
