The basis of this master's thesis is the analysis of the representation of loneliness and singleness in online media. Loneliness and singleness is one of the most common phenomenon in today's society. And this shows why scientific interest in the subject has increased. The main question surrounding the subject is – what aspects of loneliness and singleness are reflected in online media. The main objective of this thesis – to analyse the content of the phenomenon of loneliness and singleness in online media. The subject of this analysis is to show the theoretical aspects of loneliness, and during the empirical study – to show and describe how loneliness is represented on Lithuanian news portals. The objectives of this study are carried out by analysing scientific literature and completing qualitative analysis of the online media portals. |
