One of the aims of the strategy Horizon 2020- research and innovation programme is to create friendly labor market for researchers. While, women in research area of science and technology face various types of discrimination based on gender. As a result of this women is a minority in technological science. Poor integration of women in technological science is a consequence of slower implementation of innovations in EU and it has a negative impact on EU economy. Women in technological science are responsible for a unique input. This is the main reason why in EU are initiatives and programmes encouraging women to choose career in technological science. The aim of Master of Art thesis is to reveal the situation of women‘s participation in science and technological development in Kaunas University of Technology and suggest solutions for improvement. |
