The aim of this work is to identify typical scenarios of video conference applied in e-learning, propose complex decisions using special equipment and software and to present recommendations for the LieDM consortium infrastructure development. In the analytic part we review various types of video conferences and equipment. Video conference standards, non-standardized decisions video and sound compression algorithms are being analyzed in this work. LieDM network technical infrastructure, usage possibilities are overviewed. Also, research in Kaunas University of Technology on empirical video conference users was made. In the empirical part, the research presents video conference usage cases, identified users roles and standard equipment. Solutions in realization of complex usage are offered and recommendations are proposed. |
