Abstract [eng] |
The aim of this work is to develop and research drivetrain control system for plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. System is oriented for lightweight commercial trucks. Engines management system’s algorithm was developed to achieve the most efficient transfer of electric motor and internal combustion engine’s created power to drivetrain. Combining operation of internal combustion engine and electric motor, system can operate in 3 hybrid modes: save, charge and hybrid, while in electric mode, only electric motor is operational, or system can be deactivated – only internal combustion engine is operational. Microchip’s PIC18F4680 microcontroller, with embedded CAN bus, that is used for data exchange between system’s and vehicle’s original components, is selected for system implementation. Microcontroller is programmed by using C language’s code compiled in“MPLAB X” environment. The developed system was installed on Iveco “Daily” truck and tested under realistic urban and sub-urban conditions. The results obtained are analyzed and conclusions presented. |
