This master's degree thesis analyzes standpoints of the protection of personal data in developing electronic government. Theoretical analysis presents the concept of personal data and processing of the theoretical aspects. Since it is more difficult to ensure the right to privacy and protection of personal data on the internet, and this master thesis emphasis disposal of personal data in the public sector, it was chosen to analyze e-government relationship with the protection of personal data. E-government can be understood as public sector modernization, oriented to more qualitative public services in cyberspace. That way the concept of e-government comes closer to the protection of personal data, because in the public sector, personal data protection relevance becomes more important by providing public services or by storing massive amounts of personal data in specific systems. The development of e-government is one of the key goals is to ensure a well-balanced protection of personal data. Respondent’s evaluations of the system highlights the problematic aspects and helps to improve systems efficiency. Data of eleven anonymous-structural interviews was used for this analysis. Qualitative content analysis was used to reveal the provisions of personal data protection. The study analysis revealed different viewpoints to protection of personal data and the legal regulation of the protection of personal data identification in the public and private sectors, as well as to e-government impact on personal data protection from respondents who works in different sectors. . |
