| Abstract [eng] |
This master's thesis deals with the main problems of public space viability. Final work consist of three stages and generalization of the whole project. The first stage is formed from the examples of Lithuanian and foreign countries urban planning and design experience. The main problems of soacial viability are emphasized and primary solutions are presented in the form of hypothetical model. The second stage consist of empirical studies whose results are submited as conceptual model of socially viable public place. Based on this model in the third stage the experimental project is made. The final stage of the master's thesis systematizes the stages and the results of work carried out and the overall conclusions of the thesis. |
