Abstract [eng] It is a well-known fact that Portland cement production is an ecologically expensive process that is responsible for 5-9 % of anthropogenic (man-made) global carbon emissions. To reduce the environmental impact associated with the production of portland cement, the industrial sector is adapting alternatives to lower prices and environmental damage. Glass waste was investigated as a possible addition to cement. In order to determine the optimal / rational amount of ground glass in vibropressed products, it is necessary to determine the influence of the amount of different ground glass in the tests on the compressive strength. Because concrete with 30% ground glass showed higher compressive strength than concrete without ground glass, additional tests are required to replace portland cement with ground glass instead of aggregate. A crushing study with samples of clean ground glass and organically contaminated ground glass has shown that contaminated ground glass has similar properties to clean ground glass, so no additional glass cleaning is necessary. Determining the frost resistance of concrete with different amounts of ground glass showed that specimens with ground glass showed better results. Concrete with 15% ground glass withstands more freezing and thawing cycles than concrete with 10 % ground glass. Microscopic analysis of ground glass revealed that clean ground glass is not visually different from contaminated ground glass. Due to the good distribution of ground glass over the entire mass of concrete and the size of fine ground glass particles, no liquid glass agglomerates.
