Abstract [eng] |
The calculation and prediction of overvoltage transients in electrical systems is an important task in selecting the level of insulation, taking into account the working conditions of overvoltage protection measures. It is especially important to determine the parameters of overvoltage transients that affect the insulation of electrical equipment when repeating the switching on of the line. Due to a complex electrical circuit and the characteristics of the electromagnetic waves, the insulation of mains equipment, especially when reconnecting a line that has residual charge, may be affected by transient voltages of higher amplitude and duration exceeding the standard test voltages guaranteed by the manufacturer. Based on the performed research and methodological material, in order to avoid high overvoltage levels during automatic line reconnection, the optimal automatic reconnection pause was calculated so that the residual load during reconnection would be within allowed levels and would not damage the equipment insulation. |
