Research is conducted on connections between sheet metal and sheet metal fasteners – bolts and nuts by performing tensile tests and torque tests. Depending characteristics are anlysed based on sheet metal thickness, meterial properties and thread sizes of sheet metal fasteners. „Tinius Olsen H10KT“ testing machine is used to define maximum withstandable loads, deformation sizes of such connections. Analysis of results is based on dispersion of the characteristics. Practical test results are compared to finite element analysis results performed on „Ansys workbench“ program. Finite elements analysis results are validated through the practical tests. |
