Abstract [eng] Jeans are one of the most popular clothing products produced out of cotton. Unfortunately, growing cotton fiber depletes the soil and requires large amounts of fresh water. Moreover, the prevailing consumer problem today is increasing the amount of textile waste that usually ends up in landfills. All these ecological problems encourage the search for ways to recycle and recover existing textile waste. Thus, in this master 's project, a life cycle analysis of two - composition (100% cotton and 80% cotton and 20% polyester) denim technological recycling processes was performed, during which the SimaPro life cycle assessment program was used. This program helped to assess the environmental impact of jeans recycling processes. Interpreting the obtained results, it was found that the processing of mixed jeans increases the negative impact on human health 4 times, on ecosystems 3 times, and resource consumption increases 9.6 times.
