Abstract [eng] |
The aim of this final project is to investigate the share of buyers who additionally invest in security systems when purchasing a new Škoda car. Also determine the effectiveness of safety systems in the event of an accident and the cost of their restoration. In the final work, an overview of safety equipment used in Škoda cars is performed. The data of cars sold in Panevėžys Škoda representative office in 2018 - 2019 and involved in traffic accidents are used for the research. In studying the need for security systems, the type of cars sold, equipment, additional security equipment, and the amount of investment in additional security systems were taken into account. It was found that 46.15% of buyers invest in additional security systems when purchasing a new car from a Škoda manufacturer. The work compares traffic accidents according to the type and intensity of the impact. The analysis of the efficiency of the installed security systems was performed. The costs of car safety restoration are presented, analyzing the prices of necessary parts, security systems and works. It has been found that the cost of a total car safety restoration after a minor technical incident exceeds the 2,000 € limit. In the event of severe damage to the car during which the airbags have been activated, the repair price starts at 9,000 € and rises proportionately to the amount of components damaged. The replacement of deployed airbag and seat belt components accounts for about 30% of the car repair price. |
