Abstract [eng] |
The article continues investigation of H. G. Gadamer’s hermeneutical understanding in terms of its different functions. Having discerned intricately interacting fundamental components of cognitivity, normativity, and reproductivity, attention is concentrated on normativity of hermeneutical understanding and its influence over cognitivity. In the first part of the article normative function of hermeneutical understanding is distinguished and described; ontological prerequisites of philosophical hermeneutics that determine such redistribution of the functions in the process of human cognition are revealed. The second part of the article proceeds to the consideration of the transformation that strikes the very cognitivity of understanding both with characteristics of moral consciousness that emerge in the process of cognition: in hermeneutical understanding one cognizes by an action, the same as in morality, and the cognition itself is treated as a moral action; moral self-consciousness of the one who cognizes by hermeneutical understanding is defined; hermeneutical conception of nature of “subject” and “object” that is so unique and so different from the modern epistemological interpretation is revealed. |
