Abstract [eng] |
The master thesis examines the possibilities of designing zero energy office buildings in Lithuania. Literature analysis has shown that this area of research is not well developed in Lithuania, although the need for zero-energy buildings is inevitably increasing. The most important parameters that should be considered when designing zero-energy buildings are window parameters and orientation, the parameters of transparent barriers, integration of renewable energy sources, minimisation of thermal bridges, as well as efficient control of building services system. In the final project the economical and energy consumption analysis of the office building in Vilnius was performed. A numerical model of the building has been created using IDA ICE dynamic energy simulation tool. Boundary conditions were based on design data and in the later stage – renewables, such as solar PV panels and geothermal boreholes were integrated in the model. Optimization function was used to select the most energy efficient solutions. The impact of the chosen solutions on the building construction price was estimated.
