Topic relevance.In a globalized world where the working-age population can move freely from one residence to another when choosing jobs, the problem of the labor market's impacton the country's economy has become particularly acute. Not only individual regions but also entire countries are trying to address the negative effects of illegal work, the emigration of workers, low-skilled employees' skills, etc. in the economic context. To objectively and sufficiently accurately assess the impact of the labor market on the country's economy, it isnecessary to analyze the impact of different labor market actors – workers and employers – across different aspects. The analysis of the labor market's impact on the economy is considerable in both foreign and Lithuanian scientific. However, the theoretical analysis of the impact of the labor market on the economy has failed to detect studies on the impac to flabor markets on the economy of Panevėžys city and the district. As a result, the problem has been raised: how does the labor market affect the city and district economies of Panevėžys? The research object is the labor market. Aim of the study: to reveal the impact of the labor market on the economy. Tasks: 1. Examine the problem of the economic impact of the labor market; 2. Theoretically analyze aspects of the labor market impact on the economy; 3. Develop a model for analyzing the labor market effect on the economy; 4. Based on the developed model analyze Panevėžys city and district labor markets' impact on the economy. Main results of the work. The basis of the scientific literature analysis succeeded in developing a model for the impact of the labor market to economic. The model represents the impact of the labor market in the contex to fits determinants. It should be noted that the selected factors are dependent on each other and the stages of analysis must be implemented gradually. Based on the model developed, the impact of Panevėžys City and the District labor market to economic was analyzed. The analysis was based on the results of qualitative and quantitative surveys. During the analysis, the impact on the five selected factors influencing the situation in the labor market to the domestic economy was first assessed. Main recommendations to the University students which are analyzing the labour market effects to economy: based on the developed model to assess the labour market impact to the economic of individual regions of the country. Recommendations to Panevėžys City and district government representatives: increase investment in public infrastructure by improving the attractiveness of Panevėžys City and district for the available investors, employers, migrants. |
