The final master's project is designed to analyze export competitiveness factors of the Lithuanian furniture industry. There has been a growing debate over the last two decades in academic research, regarding the concept of competitiveness. Export competitiveness and export development are important for the country's economic growth, and their significance for growing economic integration and globalization. Thus, competitiveness helps the industry to gain international advantage through exports. Object of the research - export competitiveness factors of the Lithuanian furniture industry. The aim of the research - to carry out the evaluation of competitiveness factors of the Lithuanian furniture industry. Tasks of the research: 1. to analyze the tendencies of the activity of the Lithuanian furniture industry and to highlight the problems; 2. to analyze the theoretical factors and indicators determining export development; 3. to investigate the production and export volumes of the furniture industry during the analyzed period of 2014–2018 period; 4. to analyze export competitiveness of the Lithuanian furniture industry with RCA index; 5. to carry out the analysis of the relationship between the factors determining export competitiveness and the export volumes of the Lithuanian furniture industry. Applied research methods: analysis of scientific literature, data grouping, comparison and graphical presentations. Correlation and regression analysis methods were applied. |
