Abstract [eng] |
The rapidly growing popularity of small unmanned aircrafts such as multicopters, has created a great demand to develop and improve the propellers that they are using. The propellers that reaches consumers must go through the analytical calculation, design, validation and production phases. During the evaluation phase it is required to validate the results of the analytical calculations and determine the actual propeller characteristics. To accomplish this, specialized measuring equipment which can recreate real flight conditions are used. Because the flight speed of the multicopters are usually low, their propellers can be tested in a stationary air flow. This can be done using a measuring stand. |
