Abstract [eng] The Master's thesis presents a real study of a residential house with air and air as well as a gas boiler with solar power and heat pump. Performing solar power plant modelling to determine the amount of electricity in a residential house and selecting the power required. A methodology is developed to select the heat pump and gas boiler power for heating a residential house. The work investigates solar power plant's actual electricity generation for one month, day, hour and the maximum solar power in summer and winter. A real heat pump is being researched on how the accumulated amounts of solar power in the electricity grid are consumed during the winter period. The gas boiler gas consumption is analyzed during the winter period when the heat pump and gas boiler are operating. The solar power plant's economic payback has been made when the air-to-air heat pump is chosen for heating a residential house.
