The world has noticeably changed over the past century. There happened changes in: people's habits and values, their attitude towards themselves as a free individual personality, world countries and their management, technologies, their application, education systems and learning. The educational process has become more personalized and adaptable. In the world, where the amount of information and its value grows every day, the amount of knowledge is growing rapidly as well. However, this flow of knowledge becomes a challenge, in explaining which one is necessary for the educational process and which is less valuable, as well as, if necessary, can be mastered separately. With the increasing availability of easily accessible knowledge for the education of pupils, their accessibility and quality, the learning and teaching processes themselves are changing. Through information technology, learning transcends school boundaries, and knowledge becomes available at the chosen time and place. In the information age - person`s interdisciplinarity, analytical, critical and creative thinking, ability to solve problems creatively, sociality - become more important than the amount of gathered information. |
