Abstract [eng] Constantly growing logistics sector in the context of global economy earns the right to be called strategic economic activity. Logistics activities are essentially important seeking effective functioning of other sectors, ensuring the competitiveness of international trade and comprehensive development of the country. In the recent years, meaning of economic growth is being changed by the concept of sustainable economic development implying integrated evaluation of logistics as one of the priority sector's influence to economic, social and environmental factors. Taking into account the meaning of logistics, principles of sustainable economic development and lack of research in this field, in this final project theoretical and practical assessment of logistics sector impact on sustainable economic development will be provided. The object of this final project is to assess impact of logistics sector on sustainable economic development. The main aim is to carry out logistics sector assessment of sustainable economic development. In order to achieve this aim there are four tasks to achieve: 1) to analyze logistics sector tendencies and its' impact on sustainable economic development; 2) to investigate theoretical concept of sustainable economic development and logistics sector; 3) to prepare evaluation methodology of logistics sector's impact on sustainable economic development; 4) to evaluate logistics sector impact on sustainable economic development. The research was carried out applying different methods: research literature analysis and synthesis, statistical data analysis, correlational analysis, exploratory factor analysis, multiple regression analysis, panel regression analysis. Big data analytics software SAS Studio was applied for data processing and analysis. In the final project, theoretical concepts of sustainable economic development, logistics and its' relationship was disclosed, as well as key macroeconomic indicators and indexes were identified and applied when evaluating logistics sector impact on sustainable economic development. After research was carried out, results indicated that in the context of European Union countries, logistics sectors reflecting transport and IT factors significantly influences different indexes of sustainable economic development. However, forecasting models compiled when multiple regression analysis was carried out, indicated that IT impact on sustainable economic development is stronger rather than impact of transport. Applying panel regression analysis method to evaluate Logistics Performance Index impact for indexes reflecting sustainable economic development, it was defined significant positive effect on economic and social aspects of sustainable economic development, while compiled models allowed to indicate how sustainable economic development indexes meanings would change when Logistics Performance Index is increasing. Whereas, Logistics Performane Index impact on environmental sustainable economic development dimension is not confirmed, additional research in this field must be carried out. The project consists of four main parts. In the first part, tendencies in logistics sector are identified and logistics impact on sustainable economic development is disclosed. In the second part, when comprehensive theoretical analysis is carried out, sustainable economic development and logistics sector concept is revealed. Evaluation research methodology of logistics sector impact on sustainable economic development is provided in the third part of the project. In the fourth part of this project evaluation of logistics sector impact on sustainable economic development is performed and the main results of the conducted research are presented.
