As the economy, society and the labor market evolve and change, individuals‘ lives, the work concept, forms and opportunities are changing as a consequence. In the end of 20th centry labor marker and work concept transformation has fundamentally changed work conditions, terms, methods and principles. Thus, a number of self-employed individuals has increased significantly and majority of them are working as freelancers. This part of society in most cases is described as women who have a university degree, whereas such type of work enable women who look after the children, old age or sick relatives enter the labor market. In achievements-oriented and ever-changing social and work environment freelancing causes difficulties for women to combine home responsibilities, career achievements and personal well-being as specificity, autonomy and flexibility of freelancing as it appears being both advantageous and challenging. Academic literature comprehensively analyzes individuals‘ well-being, achievements and what affects them, however research on women freelancers work challenges caused by it‘s specificity is yet limited. Due to this reason the linkages between women freelancers achievements and their well-being are being analyzed. |
