Abstract [eng] |
In Lithuania and other European countries exploitation of prestressed concrete box girder bridges, built by cantilever method in 1965-1985, is a big problem. Due to defects risen from bridge exploitation bridge deck’s deflection is constantly increasing. Strengthening of prestressed concrete box girder bridges is used to stop deflection increase. Bridge exploitation time is extended by stopping deflection increase. The Master’s Thesis gives an overview of strengthening methods of prestressed concrete box girder bridges used in Lithuania and other countries. During the research calculation model of the object of analysis was made according to real viaduct monitoring results. Prestressed concrete box girder bridge over A1 highway (by Babtai town) has been selected as the object of analysis. 3 different strengthening methods used in Lithuania are designed and analyzed in the calculation model. Construction stages, concrete long term effects (creep and shrinkage), the loss of prestressing steel are included in the calculation. Obtained results of different strengthening methods of prestressed concrete box girder bridges are analyzed and compared. Advantages and disadvantages of all strengthening methods used in Lithuania are shown. Conclusions and recommendations for bridges strengthening methods usage in practise and recommendations for further analysis are given at the end of the Thesis. |
