Abstract [eng] The master's final project seeks to find out how the angle of the vertical surface affects the amount of rainwater collected from the building facades. The possibilities of using the collected rainwater in addition to reduce the need of using drinking water from cities water supply systems are considered. An experimental stand that was able to conduct experiments in controlled environment and under real conditions was constructed in order to accurately find out the impact of surface angle inclination on the efficiency of rainwater collecting systems. Based on the results of experiments the efficiency of rainwater collecting systems on different inclination angles has been found. When the most effective angle of the facade is discovered, based on the actual data collected from the experimental stand, the estimated amount of rainwater collected during the period of experiment is calculated. The results are compared with long-term meteorological observations. The system for collecting and using rainwater is adapted for an administrative building. A system has been designed to cover an average of 61% of water qualified for drinking consumption by the building.
