Abstract [eng] |
This master’s final project presents analysis made on composite undercarriage of LAK-17 MINI sailplane. The main objective is to perform tests in order to analyze strength of sailplane LAK-17 MINI composite undercarriage. Tasks for the project are: 1. Perform analysis of undercarriage of LAK-17 MINI sailplane and other aircraft’s undercarriages; 2. Perform tests of composite tubes in order to determine their mechanical strength; 3. Calculate the loads that act on sailplane’s undercarriage and its components; 4. Create computer models of undercarriage’s components and perform their analysis using finite element methods; 5. State conclusions and propositions on strength of sailplane’s LAK-17 MINI undercarriage. The master’s final project consists of three main chapters: Technical analysis, Research chapter, Conclusions and propositions. Technical analysis chapter shortly presents the sailplane LAK-17 MINI itself and its undercarriage. There is some information about other aircrafts composite undercarriages too. Technical analysis chapter is finished by presenting some materials, which could be used for undercarriage. In Research chapter loads acting on undercarriage are calculated according to EASA’s Certification Specifications for Sailplanes and Powered Sailplanes. Tests performed, and their results are presented in this chapter too. Research chapter is finished by creating computer models of undercarriage elements and performing finite element analysis. Conclusions and propositions chapter presents insights and ideas according to project results. |
