This master‘s thesis analyzes various geopiles installation technologies applied in Lithuania and abroad. All types of piles foundation and their usability were analyzed, also piles types and classification, methods of installation of geopiles foundation and various factors influencing selection of foundation type. There are presented the geopiles bearing capacity calculations and the previous research done on this topic. In the research part of the thesis investigated already finished project in Lithuania, reviewed the problems of the projects, identified the main advantages and minuses of the chosen technology. reviewed the problems of the projects, identified the main advantages and minuses of the chosen technology. Alternative solutions of selected geopiles foundation installation technologies have been evaluated based on the developed criteria assessment system and using the multi-criteria assessment method. Using the multi-criteria assessment method TOPSIS, a rational option for geopolitical foundations based on soil properties has been identified. |
