Abstract [eng] The relevance of the research. One of the most globalized world important factors in the organization which keeps competitiveness – is human capital. Recently, because of the rapid emigration, employers lack a skilled and motivated workforce. In order to keep employees, it is natural that there is pressure to create attractive working conditions and to offer competitive wages. Employee retention is becoming a real challenge in a competitive labour market. Employers are trying as much as possible to provide excellent working conditions, attractive salaries, to give opportunities for improvement, career advancement and increased willingness to stay in the workplace. Satisfaction with working conditions is not the most important thing. Also, important working atmosphere, managers, job security and satisfaction with the company or organization. In order to keep the work force in our country and to recapture emigrant workers, it is necessary to find out what is the difference between Lithuanian workers in emigration and non-immigrant workers satisfaction with work and working conditions. The novelty of the research. No research was found in Lithuania where there would be compared job satisfaction and working conditions of Lithuanians working in Lithuania and in emigration. Lack of comparative research in work satisfaction and working conditions among Lithuanians working in emigration and Lithuania.
