Small and medium-sized enterprises are crucial for the economy and development of each country and regions. Economic development is the main objective of regional policy. Small and medium-sized business activities are a major contributor to the achievement of this objective. Opportunities of small and medium business is very different in each region. The reason of this is different demographic situation, natural conditions, different educational opportunities and uneven development of social or industrial infrastructure and other various factors. The aim of this work was to identify the main factors and causes that stimulates and hinders the development of small and medium business in the Klaipeda region. |
