Abstract [eng] In the final master's thesis the competitiveness of Lithuanian fish processing industry is being analyzed identifying most relevant sector issues facing the fish processing industry. Based on the analysis of statistical data, it can be said that Lithuanian fish processing industry is constantly growing, more and more fish raw materials are being imported in Lithuania and processed fish export to foreign markets is increasing every year. Such growth of export shows that fish products made in Lithuania is valued in foreign countries. The biggest problem in the fish processing industry is the decreasing amount of fish raw materials. Due to this issue suppliers are inscreasing their prices which directly impacts fish processing companies, since they are dependent on the price of raw material. During the analysis it was identified that Lituania and European Union started paying more attention to fish processing and promotion of aquaculture by making political decissions that allows fish processing industry to expand and modernize their businesses. One of the most important factors, contributing to the competitive advantage is the technological advantage. Funds from the Government and the European Union are being allocated to increase the technological advantage.
