Abstract [eng] Two methods on the basis of time averaged projection moiré techniques are proposed for the identification of the machine and cross directions of paper and paperboard. For industrial applications the method based on the analysis of the experimental images of the three lowest eigenmodes is proposed. Orthotropic constitutive model is to be taken into account for machine made paper and single ply paperboard. It is assumed that the paper and paperboard in a printing device are loaded in their planes and thus a problem of plane stress is solved. Then the eigenmodes of bending vibrations as of a plate are analyzed.
