| Abstract [eng] |
Lithuania’s manufacturing industry sector is rapidly evolving due to increasing international competition and technological improvement. Industries operating at low or moderately low technology levels still dominate in many sectors. However, the contribution of high-technology industries is gradually increasing, particularly in electronics, computer products, and transport equipment. Changes in export structure and international competitiveness is influenced by a combination of inner and outer factors. These factors may affect the country’s manufacturing industry’s ability to grow, adapt to market changes, and maintain competitiveness in the international environment; therefore, their assessment is important for ensuring the long-term development of export quality. The study focuses on analyzing changes in the quality of Lithuania’s manufacturing industry export structure and identifying the factors that determine them. Although changes in export quality have an influence on the country’s economic performance and the transformation of industrial structure, there is still a need for further research based on Lithuanian data examining the interrelationships between these indicators. This gap leads to the research problem – remains unclear which factors have the greatest impact on changes in the quality of export structure. The research object – the changes in the quality of Lithuania’s manufacturing industry export structure. The main goal of the study is to assess these changes and identify the factors that determine them. |
