Abstract [eng] |
One of the key points of the Master’s thesis is to analyse (examine) engineering and economic aspects of heat supply options to the Facilities of Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant. Moreover, such factors as means of improving the heat supply are analysed, the ways of pipe laying are examined. Is it on open air or implementation of trenchless method will lead to the minimal heat losses. Other means of heat supply are examined, i.e. updating of the existing boiler house and construction of a new boiler house using biomass fuel. The Master’s thesis consists of 4 sections. The first section describes the analysis of the current situation and evaluation of climatological data of the region. Loss estimates and analysis of the best option to modernise the pipeline are provided in the second section. The third section describes analysis of modernisation of the existing boiler house and construction of the new boiler house using biomass fuel. The fourth section provides the economic evaluation of heat supply to the Facilities of INPP. A comparison of updating options showed that from the commercial view it is more cost effective to update the existing pipeline using the same supporting piers rather than to implement underground piping or to modernise the existing boiler house or to construct the new boiler house using biomass fuel. |
