Abstract [eng] The Master thesis examines the process of developing an indicators system for measuring Kaunas University of Technology sustainability (KTU) performance. The first part analyses indicators systems that are more suitable for business units. Because of the many different systems, it is difficult for universities and other higher education institutions (HEIs) to indicate which system is the most suitable for the university. Many companies, public organizations, universities join the biggest initiative „Global Compact“ that was founded by United Nations (UN) was complemented by UN Agenda 2030 and 17 sustainability goals (SDG). The second part of this paper refers to the methodology which assist to integrate different sustainability indicators systems and adapt the indicators to evaluate actions for a specific institution. The indicators system to measure university sustainability is developed by using a methodology for integrating sustainability considerations into process design (Azapagic ir kiti, 2006). The system describes the indicators that are important to evaluate the sustainability of the university. The indicators system is universal for every university just has to be adjusted according to the specific university. The questionnaire for program manager will help to evaluate how study programs of KTU comply with the UN 17 SDG. The system describes the indicators that are important to evaluate the sustainability of the university.
