The formation of virtual power plants is one of the directions of energy future, which gives the consumer the opportunity not only to supply electricity, but also to generate revenue (profits) for electricity sales and active load management in his micro-network. They provide an opportunity for the energy supply operator to reduce their investment in generation over the network, as it is done by the owners of virtual power plants In order to properly enable the operation of such power plants and to promote their development, it is necessary to renovate the electricity grid and adapt it to bidirectional electricity trade, as well as to properly define virtual power service packages and the benefits of a virtual power plant. |
