The occupational safety and health topics are very important in context of rapidly changing technologies and the information society; make influence on prevailing approach to ageing and quality of life and workplace quality. Employee’s opportunity to participate in solving issues of workplace directly depends on knowledge quality of occupational safety and health. This work analyses the application of distance learning information technologies in providing occupational health and safety skills to employees in order to create a distance learning system. Distance learning information technology and intelligent tutoring systems analysis data and users’ expectations are evaluated by method of quality function deployment. The requirements for the distance education system are developed, which combine the criteria for the evaluation of electronic learning materials into structure and content. The distance learning system development combines the occupational safety and health learning ontology and feature charts creation, user case and their specification descriptions, process sequences of distance learning information system, the essence relationship and relational database model diagrams. Research of created and implemented distance learning system is done and recommendations are provided for the future improvement of the system. The conclusions of the work and divisions sections are provided with short descriptions and remarks on the workflow analysis, design, system deployment and operation of the distance learning system developed. |
