Before physicians prescribe medicines, they must take into consideration patients diseases and medicines they use. This must be done to avoid complications that may occur. Essentially all information about contraindications is written in medicine package leaflet. During this work feasibility study of possibility to create solution that can automatically detect contraindication in leaflet text using natural language parsing and store results in database was made. Information that this system gives, may shorten the time needed for medicines prescription decision making. After analysis phase the system which used morphological analysis tools that are adopted for lithuanian language and noun phrase templates was created. Experiment results showed that created system sucessfuly detected 56 percent contraindications. |
