Abstract [eng] |
During recent years project management is growing in popularity. More and more services and products are created and introduced to the market by using projects. Demand for managers, who would specialise in project management, is increasing day by day. The same tendencies apply in non-governmental sector. Very often projects are the only source of financing for non-governmental organisations. These organisations implement very important public and social projects. They do not create profit but do create completely different value and serve for public purpose. Projects of non-governmental organisations contribute to creating social value, developing public services and infrastructure, socialising youngsters, fostering active citizenship, reducing poverty and creating coherent and stable society. Projects in non-governmental organisations differ from the ones in business sector, so competences, needed by project managers differ as well. Non-governmental sector project managers need some specific competences, as well as general project management competences. They are implementing important projects which bring value to the society so it is necessary to identify and clarify what competences do they need. |
