Abstract [eng] The behavior of the knitted fabrics made from natural, man-made and synthetic fibers during washing process were tested. The stability of knitted fabrics was estimated according to the changes of friction coefficient values and handle parameters (defined by the KTU-Griff-Tester) after various modes of technological treatment. The relationship between friction coefficient and handle parameters and the fabric structure and the washing method was determined. The influence of the cationic chemical softener treatment on the stability of the handle parameters of the knitted fabrics is presented.
