This master’s thesis examines four types of glass facades and presents a multicriterial assessment of these technological options. The production technology of aluminium-glass constructions, the materials used, loss of heat and inflow through transparent partitions are reviewed. Materials with the highest thermal properties and innovative renewable energy sources were used. 10 main criteria were selected while analysing the characteristics of four facades. A survey was conducted during which the subjective significance of the criteria was determined, and the theoretical evaluation of the criteria significance was performed. Using a complex method, the general criterion significance was established, according to which the optimal glass facade solution was determined by the proximity to the ideal point method. This master’s thesis also includes an overview of the assembling of the structures and the description of installation processes. A public building was selected, to which the best glass facade system was applied, and a technological card was made. |
