The aim of this master‘s thesis is to determine the influence of plastic hinge emergence on mechanical consistency and stability of statically indeterminate portal frame. Thesis consits of three main parts: literature review, methods of plastic hinge emergence analysis, results and discussion. In the first part of thesis the main principles of the emergence of plastic hinge in portal frames are presented, as well as limit analysis, elastic analysis, plastic analysis, imperfections and the comparison of plastic and elastic analysis are studied. In the second part of master‘s thesis the study methodology of statically indeterminate portal frames internal forces redistribution analysis is presented. In this thesis two types of study methods are used: numerical and computer simulation. In the description of computer simulation method used in this thesis, Dlubal software program Rfem is presented and step-by-step instruction of calculation using this finite element program is described. In the numerical methods description the standards used for research are analysed. Finally, the equations for the redistribution of internal forces are given. In the final part of the thesis the results of the study and their discussion are presented. Also, stresses and deformations of the portal frame and the possible locations of the plastic hinge emergence are represented in a graphic form. By summarizing master‘s thesis 4 main conclusions are given. |
