Abstract [eng] |
The institutional child care reform is a relevant topic in the field of social policy in today's life, as during the last sixty years of research and observation, it has been proved that the environments of large institutional care homes have a harmful effect on children. At the moment, the institutional process of reorganization of child care homes is accelerating in Lithuania, when large children's care homes are closed down and smaller cozy homes for children are being created in a community. Therefore, considering that the institutional reform of care homes in Lithuania is already taking place for some time, also taking into account the fact that the transfer of children from large institutional care homes to smaller care homes in the community dates back to 2015, it can be stated that the institutional child care reform process is not investigated enough. |
