The aim of the final master's thesis is to perform a research of micro-milling of pure titanium (II), assessing the influence of cutting conditions on the machined surface. The review of the literature was done to review the major problems of the micro-milling of titanium and its alloys, properties and applications, as well an overview of the mechanism of the formation of chips and burrs. The experimental part describes the preparation for the experiment. An experimental plan based on the Taguchi method has been developed, cutting condition were selected. Description of the experiment, used equipment and measurements. |
