Abstract [eng] |
One of the most popular ways of cutting workpieces used in production is plasma cutting. Using this method, possible to cut stainless or carbon steel, and many other workpieces in high quality. However, in order to reach the best cutting quality, suitable parameters of the process optimization should be selected. The present thesis analyses how different parameters influence changes in workpieces quality cutting by plasma. For the research, the samples made of steel S235JRG2, S235JRG2+N, and AISI316L have been used. The research has investigated how a different cutting speed and amperage influences material quality. The analysis of the results obtained has revealed that different cutting parameters change material hardness, the width of the heat affected zone, and roughness of cut. Incorrect selection of cutting speed or current leads to more difficult cutting of the material and low quality of the workpiece; in addition, more input is necessary in the cutting process. |
