Abstract [eng] The relevance of this study can be defined through the prism of leadership and partnership. First of all, leadership is not a new and unexplored research field. It can often be seen in the press, that in the world, and especially in Lithuania, the expression of leadership in business processes is still lacking. Nevertheless, leadership assessment is one out of many factors that makes a successful business organization, and without it, the business is moving too slowly or in general, loses its direction (competition among others). Today, the constantly changing economic, social and political environment forces and requires changing not only of business but also of leadership as a phenomenon. On the other hand, it is important to note that lately there has been a significant increase and encouragement of partnership between business. Such changes are due to market development and rapidly growing competition on the markets. The differences between the economies and the resulting business opportunities naturally encourage the business to organize and carry out part of the activities on the basis of partnerships. For these reasons, dynamic analysis of leadership requires: evaluation of leader skills and the development of leaders themselves or detailed analysis of business or general business process. Based on the analysis of scientific literature and research of this topic, it can be argued that a partnership is a phenomenon in which two or more parties agree on the pursuit of a particular activity together. All ongoing processes in the partnership are complex and in many cases, are carried out according to partnership agreements. During all these partnership processes, conditions for leadership development are created. For this reason, questions arise: firstly, does leadership expression affect the formation of such partnerships and their implementation; how can leadership as a phenomenon occur in such partnerships; does the influence of leadership affects the money that was generated by the partnership; and etc. Based on that the object of the research can be defined as - the expression of leadership and characteristics of it in a business partnership. In conducting a research that seeks to clarify the key trends and characteristics of leadership, it is necessary to analyse leadership only in a private partnership that is understood and can be defined as a partnership between two or more legal entities. This study examines how strong business leadership affects business partnerships and how leadership affects the outcome of such a partnership. Based on that, the main purpose of the research 4 is to assess the way the leadership emerges in business partnerships and define a benefit that can be generated from leadership in partnership. Literature and research of this topic defines that partnership is a phenomenon in which two or more parties agree on the pursuit of a particular activity together. Usually, several company’s employees are delegated to the partnership and its implementation. At the time of the formation or implementation of the partnership, conditions for leadership expression are created. In the context of leadership, it usually intended to influence or influence others in a pursuit of a certain goals. The assessment of leadership in business partnership is a coherent process that involves identifying a leadership expression methods and evaluating the benefits that was gained. In the course of the evaluation of selected logistics cases, it was found that: firstly, in all cases, favourable conditions were created for the partnership's expression. Analysing the methods of leadership expression, it was found that 9 ways of expression of 15 analysed are more frequent and intensive than the rest. Thus, in such partnerships, a person who has the desire to: coordinate the results of the group, coordinate the work of group members, adjust the goals and objectives of the team, to ensure that everyone in the group feels good, shows a personal example of how to work, assess risks and consequences, promote the best solution, take active work of the team, promote the goals set, can be considered a leader and an exceptional person from others. Such person will be noticed and evaluated by others in the partnership. As a result, companies are aware of this and can strategically assign individuals with such qualities to partnerships and therefore benefit from additional benefits. In four cases, out of the five companies that have delegated leadership to a partnership, they have gained more financial returns (expressed in earnings) than the company that was a passive partner.
