Abstract [eng] The competitiveness was relevant always, and its concept is understood in a very diverse way. Competitiveness relates to the organization's ability to respond to market developments and to maintain its market position. It contributes to the creation and distribution of the company's value, affects the economic changes in the market, region or product sector, in which the company occupies a certain part. The pursuit of competitiveness must not be a one-time phenomenon, but a strategy must be well thought out. One of the ways of increasing competitiveness is the diversification of activities. The main diversification objectives are increasing profitability, reducing risk by increasing capital, increasing the competitiveness of the company and the entire economy. Relevance of the topic. Under competitive conditions, businesses face a variety of problems. The emergence of new competitors leads to a loss of competitive advantage in the market. It is important for executives to understand what are the possible factors of enterprise competitiveness, enhancement measures, which additional activities the company can gain competitive advantage.
