Abstract [eng] At present the attention to safety of food products and quality has been expanding. It is influenced by consumers` new approach to food, caring about environment pollution, its influence on food and human`s health. That`s why it is important to ensure that food products would be encased into corresponding materials which have respective requirements to materials and manufacture, Regulations Nr. 1935/2004 designed for touching food. The main aim of investigation is to determine oxygen permeability for multilayer polimeric composition which was coated by special barrier SunBar coating. It was found other physical and mechanical parametres like thickness, grammage, friction coefficient, seal strength and strength of layers adhesion. Carrying out measures of oxygen permeability, it was found that covering multilayer polymeric composition with special barrier Sun Bar coating, it is possible to reduce permeability of oxygen. Covering by coating two layers composition could be used like alternative to three layers composition, quantity of raw materials is reduced this way. Investigation of oxygen permeability is carried out in JSC „Aurika“ in the laboratory of physical testing.
