Work objective – the analysis of E-band microwave systems and experimental radio wave propagation measurements in the 71 – 86 GHz range. In the analytical part the radio communication signals of microwave systems operating in the E-band range are examined, specifically – the signal’s strength, it’s data transfer properties and possible fields of use. In addition, the influence of weather conditions on millimeter wave propagation, existing radio wave propagation loss assessment models and primary E-band microwave system’s radio parameters are analyzed. In the research part experimental measurements of radio wave propagation in 71 – 76 GHz and 81 – 86 GHz ranges are taken, during which the incoming signal strength dependency on the level and frequency of the transmitted signal was being observed. At the same time the mean square error dependency on the signal strength and frequency of the transmitted radio wave was recorded. The data gathered from the measurements was then processed and compared to the results of theoretical models. |
